Cannes 2010 Awards

Presided by director Tim Burton, the jury of the 63rd Cannes Film Festival awarded the Palme d’Or to the Thai film Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past directed by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, with cinematography by Sayombhu Mukdeeprom, Yukontorn Mingmongkon and Charin Pengpanich.

The Grand Prize was awarded to the French film Of Gods and Men by Xavier Beauvois, with cinematography by Caroline Champetier, AFC.
The prize for Best Director was awarded to Mathieu Almaric for his French film On Tour, photographed by Christophe Beaucarne, AFC, SBC.
The Jury Prize was awarded to the Chadian film A Screaming Man directed by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun, with cinematography by Laurent Brunet, AFC.
The Camera d’Or was awarded to the Mexican film Ano bisiesto (Leap Year) by Michael Rowe, with cinematography by Juan Manuel Sepulveda.
The Jury of the CST has awarded the Prix Vulcain for Technician-Artist to Leslie Shatz for the sound of the film Biutiful by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. Rodrigo Prieto, AMC, ASC, received a special award for the cinematography of Biutiful.
