Drone Services
Quick reminder regarding the exploitation of UAV in urban/populated areas :
(1) the production company bears the obligation to implement an exclusion zone. This zone is materialized by a horizontal distance ranging between 30 and 80 metres, which become forbidden to any third person (pedestrian, car, boat, bike etc.). All traffic roads inside this area must be blocked so as to perform the flights.
(2) The production must ask for all the permissions to the private entities/properties (property management agent, police, local authorities, town hall, department office etc.) located in this exclusion zone. All forms and compulsory documents must be provided to the local authority at the latest 5 working days before the shoot date. It is possible to request a derogation in case of night flights, if you need a period of more than two hours in Paris, if you want to fly near a fireworks etc. Below, our drone packages recently used for a shoot in Paris, in compliance with these rules.
To summarize, these aerial productions must be anticipated. This preparation work with the stage direction and our crew must not be underestimated and 3 weeks is usually necessary to fulfil the application process.
Helicopter services
Our helicopter services spread in France and internationally. The equipment that ACS France runs is also operated by other service providers. The Shotover K1 (6 axis of stabilisation, 360° pan - +60° Tilt to -40° tilt - +/-85°roll) shows each and every days how performant it is. It has been used for example last months in Canada, through -38°. This month, we used the K1 with three different set-ups : Alexa Mini & Angénieux 28-340, Alexa SXT & Angénieux 25-250, Alexa SXT & Angénieux 17-80.
Cablecam Services
Last born of our Cablecam range, the Aercam can be easily mounted between two points, up to 250 metres. This cable travelling allows capturing very precise footage, even top shot with the Shotover G1. Less than 35kg of equipment.
Released this months
- La Promesse de l’Aube, directed by Eric Barbier and shot by Glynn Speeckaert, will be released on the 20th of December. ACS France managed the aerial coordination of this production, with action helicopters, helicopter filming (with the Shotover K1) and drone filming (Alexa Mini & Angénieux 28-76).
- Tout là-haut, directed by Serge Hazanavicius and shot by Rémy Chevrin, will be released on the 20th of December. In the high mountains, we shot helicopter aerials during 6 days with the Shotover K1.
- Star Wars : The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnason and shot by Steve Yedlin, will be released on the 13th of December. Among other service providers, mostly from the UK, ACS France was chosen by the production to shoot aerials in Ireland and Bolivia.
