Dans l’actualité de Color de septembre, six films en cours de tournage, dont trois photographiés par des membres de l’AFC, quatre films en finition, dont un photographié par un membre de l’AFC, et cinq films sélectionnés au festival du film francophone d’Angoulême, dont un photographié par un membre de l’association.

Le film Couleur de Protection Kodak 2332 (Color Asset Protection Film) offre aux ayants droits d’un contenu audiovisuel une nouvelle option abordable, utilisant le seul support d’archivage pérenne, la pellicule.

Following 17 Girls, which garnered attention at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, Delphine and Muriel Coulin are once again in selection for Un Certain Regard with Stopover. This film explores a little-known facet of the French Army : the decompression sessions that take place at the end of each mission and allow soldiers to return to “normal” life, far from the theatre of operations. Their faithful cinematographer, Jean-Louis Vialard, AFC, explains the challenges of this film that was principally shot under the sunlight of the Island of Rhodes.

In late 2018, the AFC, with ENS Louis-Lumière Film School, performed a comparative test of sixty-six lenses from thirty-three different spherical and anamorphic series. We are organizing a blind screening of the results on Tuesday 12 November at 16:00 at the Cinema City, Screening Room N° 12, and Friday 15 November at 13:30 at the Cinema City, Screening Room N° 6.

After working on Camille Claudel 1915 and Le P’tit Quiquin, cinematographer Guillaume Deffontaines, AFC, once again teams up with Bruno Dumont on Slack Bay, in Official Compeition at the 69th Cannes Film Festival. Guillaume Deffontaines has worked with the Larrieu brothers and Michel Leclerc a number of times, and recently filmed David Oeloffen’s movie Far From Men.

This unexpected biopic on Jean-Luc Godard’s life was a brave project by Michel Hazanavicius. The movie lover and director of hit comedies OSS 117 and The Artist decided to pay a trenchant tribute to the internationally-renowned symbol of the Nouvelle Vague.
Shooting this out-of-the-ordinary film suddenly took on a personal and emotional dimension for Guillaume Schiffman, AFC, because of the family relationship between him and the emblematic director of the Nouvelle Vague.

A l’occasion de la sortie sur les écrans, le 8 novembre 2023, du film documentaire Pierre feuille pistolet, de Maciek Hamela, le CNC publie sur son site Internet un article intitulé "Sur les routes d’Ukraine", entretien dans lequel le réalisateur polonais raconte comment il a pris la caméra pour capter à vif les récits de réfugiés ukrainiens fuyant les bombardements de l’armée russe et le protocole établi avec son ami chef opérateur, somme de règles qu’ils se devaient de respecter.

J’ai découvert le superbe film de Catherine Hébert sur Ziva Postec, la monteuse du film Shoah, de Claude Lanzmann. Ziva Postec. La monteuse derrière le film "Shoah" est un documentaire très touchant et très riche expliquant les difficultés du montage du film.
