Self-Portrait of a Painter, filmed image by image with a Canon 5D

With painter Albert Sauteur, we decided to conduct a one-of-a-kind experiment : he would paint a painting and I would film him image by image while he was doing it. A low-resolution video on my blog has allowed viewers to follow this project since mid October.

Albert Sauteur finished his self-portrait at the end of May, after 103 days of work. I posted a 6-minute high-resolution video to my blog that begins with a blank canvas and ends with the finished work, and which allows you to better see the painting’s progress.
