ACS France news : feature film, movie release, new series and new equipment

Technical focus : ‘Through the air (La Résistance de l’air) by Fred Grivois (co-production France/Belgium)
Synopsis : ‘Vincent has a dead-end life – between his washed-up marriage, the needs of his aging father and an endless succession of debts – his only respite is down at the rifle range – where he’s the best marksman in his club. Everything changes when Renaud, a man he meets at the rifle-range, offers him an interesting contract.’

We have performed some helicopter shots with our gyrohead Shotover K1, equipped with an Arri Alexa camera and a 24-290mm Angénieux lens : flying over a house, alongside a road, 3 minutes of stationary flight for vertical shots of motorbikes in a car-park. Released date the 17th of June 2015 !

A new series in production : Sense 8, by Andy & Lana Wachowski
The first of the 12 episodes of the series "Sense8", Limbic Resonance, lensed by John Toll (Cloud Atlas, Iron Man 3) will be released the 5th of June 2015 on Netflix. We shot some exciting aerial sequences with helicopters in Kenya and Iceland with the Shotover K1 and Gyron Stab-C !

New systems : Drone and Microcable
ACS France can now offer cinema drones, with which we recently worked on a feature film. Equipped with a RED Epic X camera (24mm lens), or a Black Magic camera, we have been able to shot with flexibility close up to the subjects in Corsica and Italy.

Complementary to the drone, we developed our Microcable system. Flexible and efficient, you can realise stabilised tracking shots up to 200 metres long, close up to your subjects. User-friendly and quick to rig, it can be installed on any kind of structure (tree, tower etc.). It is equipped with a 3 axis stabilised gyrohead, and it accepts a large range of cameras : RED Epic/Scarlet, Sony NEX7, Canon C500, Black-Magic HD & 4K, etc.
