Announcement of the Official Selection at the 72nd Annual Cannes Film Festival

Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu will be the president of the Festival’s Jury. This Jury will be composed of the American actress Elle Fanning, the Burkinabe director and actress Maimouna N’Diaye, the American director, screenwriter and editor Kelly Reichardt, the Italian director and screenwriter Alice Rohrwaher, the director and comic book creator Enki Bilal, the cinematographer, screenwriter and editor Robin Campillo, the Greek director, screenwriter and producer Yorgos Lanthimos, and the Polish director and screenwriter Paweł Pawlikowski.

The Dead Don’t Die, the new film by Jim Jarmusch, cinematography by Frederick Elmes, ASC, will be presented at the opening ceremony, in Compétition and in its world premier. Presided over by the Lebanese actress and director Nadine Labaki, the Jury for “Un Certain Regard” will be composed of Marina Foïs, actress, Nurhan Sekerci-Porst, German producer, Lisandro Alonso, Argentine director, and Lukas Dhont, Belgian director.
Director and screenwriter Claire Denis will preside the jury of Short Films and of the Cinéfondation. Also part of this jury will be actress Stacy Martin, director and screenwriter Eran Kolirin, Greek director and screenwriter Panos H. Koputras, and Romanian director, screenwriter and producer Cătălin Mitulescu.
A honorary Golden Palm award will be presented to Alain Delon.
