On the day of the César Awards, Aurélie Filippetti, the Minister for Culture and Communication, honored French achievements and technological innovations in the 7th Art. The Minister paid a visit to the Micro Salon organized by the Association française des directeurs de la photographie cinématographique (AFC).
This Salon is an annual event, held on the premises of the La fémis School (Paris 18th arrondissement), attended by equipment manufacturers and renters, and French and foreign innovators who show off their latest creations in lighting, machinery, camera and postproduction equipment and solutions. The 13th Micro Salon honored the know-how and technology developed by French companies who are at the forefront of their respective industries, be it new digital cameras, high-end lens equipment, or new generation filming monitors… Some of these technologies have recently earned these French companies Oscar Awards. The same day as the 38th César Awards ceremony, the Minister recognized these technological innovations and reminded us how important these French manufacturers serving the 7th Art are.
