DoP Guillaume Schiffman, AFC, "BSC Best Cinematographer Award 2011"

During its Summer Luncheon at Pinewood on Sunday 22nd July 2012, the BSC was delighted to announce the winner of the Best Cinematographer Award for 2011 : Guillaume Schiffman, AFC for The Artist, directed by Michel Hazanavicius. The award was presented in presence of Guillaume himself.

The three other nominations were :
- Darius Khondji, AFC, ASC for Midnight In Paris, by Woody Allen
- Emmanuel Lubezki, AMC, ASC for Tree of Life, by Terrence Malick
- Robert Richardson, ASC for Hugo, by Martin Scorsese

At this Summer Luncheon, Chris Menges, BSC was to be honoured with a BSC Lifetime Achievement Award.

And it was the occasion for Sue Gibson, BSC and Billy Williams, BSC to present Ben Seresin, the newest BSC Accredited Member.

Three days before, a celebration entitled ‘Happy Hundreth: An Evening with Su’ has been taking place at BFI Southbank on Thursday 19th July to honour the centenary of the renowned Austrian cinematographer Wolfgang Suschitzky, BSC.
