Among the many shootings of this month of May we have chosen to share this feature film which was close to our hearts. It is an adaptation of the play Une histoire d’amour (A Story of Love) which was written and directed by Alexis Michalik, and photographed by Marie Spencer, AFC, SBC.

The action takes place in Normandy, at the Mont St Michel. The weather conditions were difficult, with a lot of wind (60km/h of established wind), without count of the gusts. But after 15 years of aerial drone shooting, we were able to make all the desired shots and full-fill the production. Like starting in a very wide shot, with the Mont St Michel and arriving in front of a glass door to see the action. Sequence shots, where we descend from 120m high, we hang a car in front, we follow it to its parking place and we continue with the two actresses entering the hotel and we escape them in the sunset.

Anyway, the list is long, but the shots were written, the whole team knew exactly what was needed, which was very beneficial. On the technical side, we made a stop at Transpacam to compare the Arri Alexa Mini, the Arri LF and our S35 6K sensor. Finally in maximum resolution it fits well between the two!
