Cinéaste rare, la réalisatrice Jane Campion est de retour 12 ans après son dernier film Bright Star. Elle a cette fois-ci choisi d’adapter le roman de Thomas Savage The Power of the Dog (Le Pouvoir du chien), une rivalité entre deux frères où l’isolement et la nature – un ranch dans le Montana, dans les années 1920 – jouent un rôle prépondérant. Après Stuart Dryburgh, ACS, ASC, et Greig Fraser, ACS, ASC, c’est au tour de la jeune DoP Ari Wegner, ACS, d’accompagner la réalisatrice australienne oscarisée en 1994. Produit par Netflix, The Power of the Dog sera distribué en ligne sur la plateforme le 1er décembre. (FR)

A rare filmmaker, director Jane Campion, is back 12 years after her last film, Bright Star. This time, she has chosen to adapt Thomas Savage’s novel The Power of the Dog, a rivalry between two brothers in which isolation and nature — a ranch in Montana in the 1920s — play a preponderant role. Following in the footsteps of Stuart Dryburgh, ACS, ASC, and Greig Fraser, ACS, ASC, it is now the turn of young DoP Ari Wegner, ACS, to accompany the Australian 1994 Oscar-winning director. Produced by Netflix, The Power of the Dog will be released online on the company’s platform on 1st December.
