The 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival Unveils its Selection
The 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival will take place from 13-24 May 2014.
At the usual press conference, Pierre Lescure, President of the Festival, and Thierry Frémaux, its Director General, announced the choice of seventeen feature-length films that will be In Competition for the Palme d’Or, fourteen films selected for “Un Certain Regard”, and thirteen films that will be screened “Hors Compétition”, during the Midnight Screenings and the Special Screenings.
Amongst the films chosen for the Official Selection and parallel selections, seven were filmed by Members of the AFC.

Lambert Wilson will be the master of ceremonies for the 68th Cannes Film Festival. American cinematographers Joel and Ethan Cohen will preside the Jury of the Official Selection, Italian-American actress and director Isabella Rossellini will preside the Jury of “Un Certain Regard”, and the Mauritanian cinematographer Abderrahmane Sissako will preside the Jury of Cinéfondation and the short films.

- La Tête Haute, directed by Emmanuelle Bercot, cinematography by Guillaume Schiffman, AFC, will be the film that opens the festival
- Irrational Man, directed by Woody Allen, cinematography by Darius Khondji, AFC, ASC

- Marguerite and Julien, directed by Valérie Donzelli, cinematography by Céline Bozon, AFC.
- Mon Roi, directed by Maïwenn, cinematography by Claire Mathon, AFC.
Special Screenings - Asphalt, directed by Samuel Benchetrit, cinematography by Pierre Aim, AFC.
- Don’t Tell Me the Boy Was Mad (Une Histoire de fou), directed by Robert Guédiguian, cinematography by Pierre Milon, AFC.
