The Winners of the 20th Prix Lumières announced

During the 20th annual Prix Lumière awards, whose awards ceremony took place on Monday, 2 February 2015 in the Espace Pierre Cardin in Paris, the film Timbuktu, by Abderrahmane Sissako, cinematography by Sofiane El Fani, won the awards for best film and for best director. Cinematographer Rémy Chevrin, AFC, was awarded the CST’s Special Award for A la vie, by Jean-Jacques Zilberman.

Awarded annually by foreign press correspondents in France, the Prix Lumières recognize the year’s best talents in French and francophone cinema.

The other cinematographers nominated were :
- Yves Cape, AFC, SBC, for Vie sauvage, by Cédric Kahn
- Josée Deshaies, for Saint Laurent, by Bertrand Bonello
- Sofian El Fani, for Timbuktu, by Abderrahmane Sissako
- Darius Khondji, AFC, ASC, for Magic in the Moonlight, by Woody Allen
- Arnaud Potier, for Respire, by Mélanie Laurent.
