In the news from Panasonic in May, the release of the Ver.8.0 of the VariCam LT, the shooting of a series episode with seven VariCams LT and seventeen EVA1s, and the shooting a musical drama with ten VariCams LT.

VariCam lt new firmware Ver.8.0 released
Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) mode added.
HLG output, designed for Live and “Near Live” production, principally supports the VariCam LT in CineLive configurations. The live output of the VariCam LT can be set to HLG, utilizing an extended gamma range for HDR production. This output is available in both HD video output mode and 4K/2K processed RAW output mode. The output signal can be graded live using the AK-HRP1000 Remote Operation Panel. For maximum flexibility and compatibility, while the main output is set to HLG, the secondary viewfinder output can be set to HLG or to SDR, allowing non-HDR monitors to view an appropriate signal.

Studio 100 chooses Panasonic VariCam for ’40-45’ musical recording
‘40-45’ is a musical-drama by Studio 100. It tells the story of Staf and Louis Segers, two brothers from Antwerp who have a seemingly unbreakable bond, until the unthinkable happens ; the Second World War breaks out. 10 VariCams were set up in fixed positions on different stands to film the show.
