Vilmos Zsigmond, HSC, ASC retrospective and commemoration at the French Cinémathèque in Spring 2016

During the traditional presentation of the program for the coming season at the Cinémathèque Française on Thursday, 25 June 2015, Serge Toubiana detailed the long list of events, exhibitions, retrospective-commemorations and other activities that will highlight many great figures of the cinema whose films are often shown on the screens of this venerable institution.

The 2015-2016 season will commemorate Martin Scorsese, Sam Peckinpah, Mathieu Amalric, Philippe Faucon, Gus Van Sant, Im Kwon-taek, Gérard Depardieu, Pierre Richard, Raoul Ruiz, John Huston, and others. Like many other cinematographers before him, Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC, HSC, will also be the subject of a special commemoration in 2016, organized in partnership with the AFC, where he will attend a screening of a number of films that he filmed and a “Leçon de cinéma” run by Bernard Benoliel.
