Witold Sobociński, PSC, est décédé le 19 novembre 2018, quelques jours après avoir été honoré par un Lifetime Achievement Award dans le cadre du Festival EnergaCamerimage à Bydgoszcz, en Pologne. Jazzman, directeur de la photographie et pédagogue, il aura marqué de son empreinte la cinématographie polonaise au travers de ses collaborations avec les réalisateurs Jerzy Skolimowski, Andrzej Wajda, Krzysztof Zanussi, Wojciech Has, Jerzy Kawalerowicz, Roman Polański...
