The AFC, and its cinematographers, are deeply saddened to announce the death of Jean Monsigny, which occurred on 18 September 2019, in his eighty-fourth year of life. Besides his work as a photographer for the cinema and for television for nearly forty years, Jean was also very active in our association, and especially in the area of transmitting knowledge to the next generation. As such, he taught not only at the Idhec, but also in many other cinema schools.
