Firmware update LiOS V1.2.1 for the Arri Orbiter

This new Firmware Version LiOS 1.2.1 (Lighting Operating System) is replacing version LiOS 1.0.6. In this major release all known limitations of the previous firmware have been resolved. Further, previously missing features are being introduced.

Cartoni France introduces the Dedolight Lightstream system and High-Speed

Shooting at more than 1,000 frames per second (shutter at 180 degres) is a headache for the light, especially when filming flying insects and other butterflies: it is impossible to use powerful HMI sources without burning the insects and no Led source is powerful enough. We have tested with Eli Lévé, at Next Shot rental company, Dedolight Lightstream projectors and this technique has solved the difficulties.

Vincent Jeannot, AFC, shoots with the LED Lumos Hawk 150 projector

Director of photography, member of the AFC, Vincent Jeannot has been in the business for more than 40 years. He has filmed with Henri Alekan, Luc Besson on Le Dernier combat, Subway and Le Grand bleu, among others. With Françis Huster and Jean-Paul Belmondo in Un homme et son chien. In summer 2018, he shot a feature film in Burgundy. To choose his lights, he went to Jacqueline Delaunay (Acc&Led), where he met Régis Prosper (Cartoni France), who offered him to try out the Lumos Hawk 150 LED projector.
