Vincent Jeannot, AFC, shoots with the LED Lumos Hawk 150 projector

Director of photography, member of the AFC, Vincent Jeannot has been in the business for more than 40 years. He has filmed with Henri Alekan, Luc Besson on Le Dernier combat, Subway and Le Grand bleu, among others. With Françis Huster and Jean-Paul Belmondo in Un homme et son chien. In summer 2018, he shot a feature film in Burgundy. To choose his lights, he went to Jacqueline Delaunay (Acc&Led), where he met Régis Prosper (Cartoni France), who offered him to try out the Lumos Hawk 150 LED projector.

Powered by a PWM with constant current control for ultra-low gradation combination and flicker-free rendering. LEDs are convection cooled through a patented multilayer textile compound. The textile outer casing provides maximum mechanical protection and also provides water-repellent and dust-proof properties.

Having shot with John Toll, ASC, and the Wachowskis on Cloud Atlas, it was a pleasure to be asked to shoot on Jupiter Ascending. ACS France provided the complete aerial shooting solution in Iceland and recently in Bilbao including helicopter, Aerial DOP, Film Pilot, crew and low level flying permissions. All the logistics involved in getting that perfect shot.

Our team worked at night in Paris streets during Christmas time, and in Budapest also at night time in order to follow car pursuits with the Ultimate Arm and with Jean Baptiste Jay as a camera operator.

It was a wonderful opportunity to work on two great projects where the action took place in the mountains. ACS France conducted its aerial shots in the Maurienne Valley and Mont-Blanc for two feature films which are currently showing at this time.
