The new products of Softlights
Tiled plates are equipped with Deep Blue 6500K and 2200K Softlights’s LED. The sheets are divisible into four squares of 13.5cm each, with a power of 2 x 8 Watts. Their lightness and the possibility of partition and assembling in multiple ways, allow them to be incorporated in the most diverse places of a setting. Whether they are in the image (corridor ceiling lights, light fixtures, bookcases, bars ...) or out of scope as spotlights (car interior, spacelight, candle light source, chimney fire, battery faces, lights on pole), their easy use leaves the field open to the ingenuity of everyone. The sheet or their parts can be interconnected in parallel by the 2 Wago quick connectors on each quarter plate. Softights also offers a variant of Tiled in single color Daylight 6500K.
Softlights manufactures its own LEDs, available in rolls. They can be used to make custom sources, as director of photography Claire Mathon, AFC, and her gaffer Ernesto Giolitti recently chose to do for the candle scenes of Portrait of a Lady on Fire, directed by Céline Sciamma).
At the 20th AFC Micro Salon, Softlights also exhibited its first type of Ringlight luminaire, always with the same quality of light on the faces. A "beauty projector" developed at the initiative of Gaffer Pascal Lombardo (The French Dispatch, by Wes Anderson, DoP Robert Yeoman, ASC) and in collaboration with Steadicam Operator Philippe Bordelais (company and Abracam products), diameter 31cm - weight 350g.
