The AFC at the 69^th Cannes Film Festival

The films photographed and projected on the screens at the Cannes festival by Directors of Photography who are AFC members will once again highlight the presence of our association at this great celebration of cinema. For this 69^th edition, sixteen “AFC” films from all sections will be screened in one of the many theatres of La Croisette.

Our Associate Members will also be part of the celebration, each one having participated in their own way and within their own realm of activities to one or another of these films. In the Our Associates in Cannes” you can read – in French... – the information they sent to us about these films.

Again this year for the duration of the festival, the CST will kindly host us in their pavilion at stand 206 Village International Pantiero for friendly informal encounters and for the making of our daily information newsletter.

Another exciting moment according to those who have experienced it in the past is the opportunity the festival offers to one AFC director of photography - to be part of the Camera d’Or jury which awards the recipient for their first feature film. The Festival directors have requested the presence of Jean-Marie Dreujou, AFC, to sit along side of the other jurymembers.

Finally, those customers subscribing to our Newsletter will receive a list of links to articles published on the site and updated daily, proposing an agenda of portfolios, articles, interviews and images related to the films in selection that were photographed by members and non members of the AFC, French and foreigners. Additionally, the Cannes news from our associate members will also be updated and published on a daily basis. This presence of the AFC, its information letter and the interviews taking place on this occasion will benefit from and is made possible by the support of the CNC and more than ten of our Associate Members.
