For our second collaboration (after Hearts released in 2006), Alain Resnais offered me the film Wild Grass (the title is his), which refers to those blades of grass that manage to grow in a crack in the asphalt of the street or in a stone wall, where there should not be any life at all. Somewhat echoing his characters, who fall madly in love, without knowing each other...

During the last Cannes Film Festival, the AFC published on its website a series of interviews with directors of photography, some members of the association some not, who had a film in one of the selections.
On the occasion of the film’s release in theaters, we offer an interview with Guillaume Deffontaines about his work on The Voyage aux Pyrenees by Arnaud and Jean-Marie Larrieu.

Les 18 et 19 juin, le jury de diplôme Image de la 19^e promotion a rendu son verdict.
Il était composé d’Alain Coiffier (Panavision Alga Techno), des directeurs de la photographie Sabine Lancelin et Yorgos Arvantis, AFC, de Marc Nicolas, directeur de l’école, Carole Desbarats, directrice des études, et Pierre-William Glenn, AFC, et Jean-Jacques Bouhon, AFC, directeurs du département Image.

Following the text by Sophie Landry published in the AFC newsletter, Pascale Recher and Sabine Courtant, makeup artists from the workshop "Lighting and Makeup" comment about their experiences filming in HD during the last IDIFF conference, which was held at the Palais des Congrés in Paris from January 30th to February 1st, 2008.

Public makeup tests were held at IDIFF, produced by Cine System and shot through the lenses of four different HD cameras (Thomson Viper, Panasonic HPX3000, Arri D20 and Sony F23).

Suite au billet de Sophie Landry publié dans la dernière Lettre de l’AFC, Pascale Recher et Sabine Courtant, maquilleuses de l’atelier " Lumière et maquillage " lors du dernier salon IDIFF qui s’est tenu du 30 janvier au 1^er février au Palais des Congrès à Paris, souhaitent à leur tour témoigner de leur expérience en tournage HD.
