Nous avons rencontré Dwight Lindsey, le créateur de Lindsey Optics. Venu de chez Schneider dont il est un ancien directeur général, il a fondé sa propre société en 2017 et fabrique, entre autres, des filtres, un chercheur de champ, des bonnettes, le populaire "Rota-Pol Polarizer", un système de densité neutre variable, des ND IR et les filtres à effet "Streak Filter" inspirés des défauts de l’anamorphique. Il partage avec nous sa passion de l’optique.

Pour sa conférence cette année à Camerimage, Cooke Optics a choisi d’aborder le sujet des nouvelles technologies et des nouvelles collaborations qu’elles entraînent pour les chef·fe·s opérateur·rice·s. Pour en parler, le modérateur Jordan Thistlewood a invité la cheffe opératrice Catherine Goldsmidt, BSC, le chef opérateur Fabian Wagner, ASC, BSC, le technicien de photographie virtuelle Tamas Papp, le spécialiste workflow Mark Purvis, et la coloriste Nadia Khairat. On July 20, 2019 in the US, July 21 in France, the world celebrates the 50^th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. The retransmission of the incredible images of the success of this mission remains one of the most significant broadcast events of all time. To create these images, NASA selected, among other equipment, the lenses of a small French company: Angenieux optics. The Angenieux 6x25 zoom mounted on a Westinghouse camera and Angenieux 75mm prime lens on a Maurer 16mm camera were on-board the command module of Apollo 11.

Angénieux will be present at Camerimage 2021 by offering a conference on the Full Frame range of its Optimo optics, on the one hand, and thanks to part of its team, on site in Torun from 15 to 17 November, on the other hand.

As usual, Zeiss will be welcoming festival-goers to its booth in the CKK Jordanki.
