Frédérick Denis

Denis Dedise, gérant de la société Key Lite, membre associé de l’AFC, est décédé subitement le 5 janvier 2005 à l’âge de quarante ans.
C’est auprès de son père Daniel, chef électricien, que Denis débute comme électricien. Il travaille ensuite comme commercial pour la société Panavision Lumière qu’il quitte en 1991 pour fonder, avec Frank Ledesma, la société Key Lite.

Eden, présenté hors compétition à Camerimage 2014, est une des premières tentatives cinématographiques prenant pour décor le milieu des " rave parties ", la naissance du mouvement French Touch au début des années 1990 et son succès international depuis. Dialogue avec Denis Lenoir, AFC, ASC, sur ce " biopic " sociologique très " frenchy " dont le personnage principal est largement inspiré du frère de la réalisatrice, Mia Hansen Løve. (FR)

When you are the eldest son of a merchant navy captain whose ancestors, fishermen and sons of fishermen, came all the way from Ukraine..., when you were born and grew up in Marseilles as a certified "Corniche Kid" (the local equivalent to a Bow-bell Cockney)..., when you’d always dash wherever the fancy takes you - preferably beyond the horizon..., somehow, "moving up" to Paris to make movies in the 1980’s is not exactly the "normal" thing to do.

The 33^rd Amiens International Film Festival, in partnership with the AFC, has for the second year in a row hosted "Caméflex Amiens", an event dedicated to cinematographers, from 11-15 November 2013. Denis Lenoir, AFC, ASC, was honoured with a retrospective on nine of his films and a Master Class. Fabien Gaffez, Festival’s Artistic Director, speaks about Denis Lenoir’s work.
