For this month news, we would like to highlight the Shotover U1G 3 axis gyro head,
the drone Shotover U1, other jobs and feature films released.

Shotover U1G, state of the art 3 axis gyro head – another dimension
3 axis of stabilisation with high end gyro-electronic, 360° pan/tilt/roll, only 4 kg fitted in just one Pelicase ; it paves the way to new opportunities. It can be used handheld, fastened on vehicles for high speed pursuits, on our Cablecam or rail systems – coupled with a wide choice of camera/lens combinations (TV & Cinema).

We first used the head for TV live and replay for the football game Marseille/St-Etienne a few weeks ago, at the Velodrome Stadium. It was installed on our 9 meters Mini-Track and equipped with the new slow motion camera Phantom Miro (500fps). Images in video.

Drone Shotover U1
Following our article from last February, ACS France widens its drone unit and services with the imminent arrival of the Shotover U1. It is the truly first professional drone for films and broadcast professionals, which stretches the existing limits in terms of both technical and artistic capabilities with highest standards for security. Other jobs
We did another job with our Microcable covering 2 days concert in Paris. Very fast and easy to install, both indoor and outdoor (no cranes needed), the system brought entire satisfaction to the production. We used a Canon C300 camera with a 14mm wide lens, for both recording and live stream. Also very convenient in film condition, it can easily integrate demanding film stages and fits with the latest camera : Arri Alexa Mini, Red Weapon …

Many other jobs in recent weeks in particular for the shoot of commercials in Spain with the Shotover K1 and in Budapest with the Russian Arm.

Latest films released
- Up For Love, directed by Laurent Tirard, and shot by Jérôme Alméras, AFC, will be released on the 4th of May. We did helicopter aerials with the Shotover K1 in Belgium, such as the parachute descent sequence. Our K1 was perfectly adapted for following the parachutists, with a top shot ending with a -120/130 tilt down ; only achievable with this head.

- Back to Mom’s, directed by Eric Lavaine, and shot by François Hernandez, will be released on the 1st of June. For this project we offered a full aerial service to the production unit in Monaco (Luc Poullain as pilot, Steve Desbrow operator and Benjamin Collette gyro technician) still with the Shotover K1. It was fitted with the Arri Alexa Mini and Angénieux Optimo 24-290 lens.
