Bernard Le Coq

Pierre Trividic et Patrick Mario Bernard réalisent en duo depuis les années 1980. Leur filmographie reflète un goût pour l’étrange et le fantastique, Le Cas Lovecraft (documentaire), Dancing, L’Autre. Avec L’Angle mort, ils proposent un cinéma aux enjeux à la fois politiques et romanesques. Nous avions rencontré l’an dernier Jonathan Ricquebourg, AFC, pour le vigoureux Shéhérazade, de Jean-Bernard Marlin. Il a depuis signé l’image de Tijuana Bible, de Jean-Charles Hue, et accompagne aujourd’hui le tandem Trividic-Mario Bernard pour leur dernier film L’Angle mort. Ce film est présenté par l’ACID au Festival de Cannes 2019.

Pierre Trividic and Patrick Mario Bernard have been directing films together since the 1980s. Their filmography reveals a taste for the strange and the fantastic, such as Le Cas Lovecraft (documentary), Dancing, L’Autre. With L’Angle mort, they offer us a cinema that engages simultaneously with political and romantic issues. We met Jonathan Ricquebourg, AFC, last year, to discuss Jean-Bernard Marlin’s vigorous film Sheherezade. Since then, he has also signed off on the image of Jean-Charles Hue’s Tijuana Bible, and is currently working with the Trividic-Mario Bernard tandem on their latest film, L’Angle mort. This film is presented by the ACID at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

Cinematographer for Godard, Welles, Skolimowski, Pialat, Gainsbourg and more recently Garrel, Willy Kurant has had a prolific, eclectic, yet coherent career since his early days as a cameraman for television news reports in the 1950’s. In order to synthesize his career, we have made the (of course) arbitrary choice of describing it as seven cinematographical lives, each of them related to the others

Le jury Documentaires était présidé par Bernard Le Coq et le jury Série digitale, par Joël Bassaget. Le prix de la meilleure photographie de la sélection Fiction a été attribué à Christophe Nuyens pour Zone blanche, de Thierry Poiraud.
