Eduardo Serra, AFC, ASC received the price Marburger Kamerapreis 2007. For memory, this price, granted by the city and the university of Marbourg (Germany), was given to Raoul Coutard in 2001, in Frank Griebe (2002), in Robby Müller (2003), in Slawomir Idziak (2004), Walter Lassally (2005) and Judith Kaufmann (2006).
The 14th edition of Camerimage - the world-largest festival awarding cinematographers and directors of photography - starts on November 25th. This year the festival is offering 3 competitions.
There are forty-nine European films on the selection list for the European Film Awards 2006! In the coming weeks, the 1,700 members of the European Film Academy will select the nominations in the different award categories.
During its Annual General Meeting on Sunday 9th April 2006, the BSC was delighted to announce the winner of the Best Cinematography Award for 2006 : John Mathieson, BSC for Phantom of The Opera directed by Joel Schumacher. The award will be presented at the BSC Operators Night Dinner on Friday 8th December 2006.
