Le "jet lag" a ralenti mes méninges pendant une semaine et l’enchaînement avec l’inauguration du Leitz Park ne l’a pas facilité. A l’aller, j’avais prévu d’arriver quelques jours en avance pour ne pas avoir à souffrir de ce décalage horaire.

Pour sa première conférence de l’édition 2022 de Camerimage, Arri a convié le jeune studio de production Fireframe, spécialisé dans la production virtuelle. Partenaires, Arri et Fireframe ont développé ensemble pour la première fois un workflow pertinent, intégrant des stratégies dès le tournage pour maintenir une qualité et une fiabilité de l’image. A Rare Grand Alignment, de Cinqué Lee, photographié par John Christian Roselund, FNF, est le premier tournage réalisé entièrement grâce aux écrans LED du studio et bénéficiant de cette innovation.

Director Jia Zhangke is one of the most critically acclaimed Chinese director and the one best-loved by international audiences. He has already presented a number of films at Cannes (I Wish I Knew, A Touch of Sin, Mountains May Depart). He entrusted Eric Gautier, AFC, with the cinematography of his last feature-length film. Eric Gautier is the cinematographer of France’s greatest directors (Arnaud Desplechin, Olivier Assayas, Alain Resnais, Patrice Chéreau) and also shot Into the Wild, On the Road, and Hotel Woodstock for Ang Lee. He is accompanying Jia Zhang-ke on his walk up the red carpet at Cannes this year, where the film Ash Is Purest White is in official competition. (BB)
