Mouvement 2 perforations

Comme tous les ans, Panavision Alga, représenté par Patrick Leplat et Philippe Dieuzaide, était présent à Bydgoszs au festival Plus Camerimage.
Avec Caroline Champetier AFC, et Thierry Perronet (Kodak), ils ont animé un workshop sur le format 2 perf film.

Norwegian cinematographer Benjamin Loeb, FNF, has two films in selection at Cannes this year: When You Finish Saving the World, the first feature by actor Jesse Eisenberg (Mark Zuckerberg from The Social Network), and Sick of Myself, by his countryman Kristoffer Borgli. Two independent films shot on film (16 and 35mm 2 perf), testifying to the return of many projects at Cannes that have chosen film to translate their vision onto the screen. Here is a photo of the Aaton Penelope prototype. This is the only auto-silenced 35 mm camera with instantaneous magazines that was ever built and it is also the first 35 mm camera that definitively abandons Dickson/Edison’s 4-perf film.
The film-pulling mechanism only works with 3-perf for lovers of 1.66:1, 1.78:1, 1.85:1 formats or with 2-perf for Scope addicts.

Mikros Image et Arane-Gulliver offrent désormais conjointement tous les services de postproduction et de laboratoire spécifiques destinés aux tournages en 3 perfs.

Nous avons brièvement annoncé dans la Lettre d’octobre que le directeur de la photographie Vincent Jeannot venait de rejoindre l’AFC après décision prise par le conseil d’administration lors de sa dernière réunion.
Notre association accueille chaleureusement Vincent au sein de ses membres actifs, tandis que Michel Abramowicz et Manuel Teran, ses parrains, font les présentations d’usage…
