Camerimage 2017 Awards

During the closing ceremony of the 25th annual Camerimage Festival, held on Saturday 18 November 2017 in the Grand Theatre of the Opera Nova of Bydgoszcz (Poland), the jury, presided by filmmaker Michael Apted, revealed the names of the winners. The Golden Frog went to Ildikó Enyedi’s film On Body and Soul, cinematography by Máté Herbai, HSC, the Silver Frog, to Loveless, by Andrei Zyvagintsev, cinematography by Mikhail Krichman, RGC, and the Bronze Frog to First They Killed My Father, by Angelina Jolie, cinematography by Anthony Dod Mantle, DFF, BSC, ASC.

Other Awards
The Fripresci Award, given by the International Federation of Film Critics to the director of the best film in competition, judged specifically from the perspective of its directing, went to Warwick Thornton’s film Sweet Country, cinematography by the director and Dylan River.
The award for Best Polish Film went to Maria Sadowska’s The Art of Loving, cinematography by Michał Sobociński, PSC.
The Golden Frog for Best Documentary went to Reber Dosky’s film Radio Kobanî, cinematography by Nina Badoux.
The Award for Directors’ Debuts went to Hlynur Pálmason’s Winter Brothers, cinematography by Maria von Hausswolff
The Award for Best Cinematography in a Music Video went to alt-J “3WW”, directed by Young Replicant, cinematography by Dustin Lane
The Award for Best TV Pilot went to "Black Spot : Stranger Comes to Town", by Julien Despaux and Thierry Poiraud, cinematography by Christophe Nuyens.
