Et un, et deux, et trois Leitz. Ernst Leitz, le grand-père, Ernst Leitz, le père, et Ernst Leitz, le fils, ont participé à l’une des plus grandes aventures industrielles et photographiques du vingtième siècle. Dans les années 1910, l’entreprise Leitz, située à Wetzlar en Allemagne, a une réputation mondiale pour la qualité de ses microscopes et de ses lentilles.

Du 15 au 17 juin 2018, Leica Camera AG a célébré l’ouverture du nouveau parc Leitz, à Wetzlar (Allemagne), avec de nombreux invités de la région ou venus du monde entier. Gilles Porte et Vincent Jeannot rendent comptent, pour l’AFC, invitée, de leur visite de ce nouveau complexe, important centre de l’industrie de l’optique qui unit recherche, art et culture.

Ernst Leitz Wetzlar GmbH is one of the world’s leading premium cine lens manufacturers with their brand of ‘Leitz Cine Lenses’. At Camerimage, Leitz will be displaying the newest Full Frame primes and the Leitz team will welcome you on its booth.

During the trip to the Leitz-Park in Wetzlar, Germany, organised by the Leitz team to bring together some European cinematographers, we were able to visit the Leica Camera factory, the Leitz cine lens manufactory and the museum. In one of the rooms, we could read a text about an activity that Ernst Leitz II kept secret all his life and which mentions the rescue of Jews in the years before and during the Second World War. In doing so, Ernst Leitz II took incredible risks for himself, his family and his company.

Sony France et le BTS audiovisuel du lycée Carnot à Cannes proposent, les 20 et 21 mai, plusieurs ateliers animés par Jean-Charles Fouché, chef opérateur, et Jean-Yves Martin, chef de produit chez Sony, et organisés en partenariat avec Leitz Cine Wetzlar.

Au Festival de Cannes 2019, pour la 58^e édition de La Semaine de la Critique, Leitz parraine pour la quatrième année consécutive le Prix de la Découverte Leitz Ciné et vous accueille avec plaisir du 17 au 23 mai sur la Plage Nespresso.
