The 8th edition of the AFC "Micro Salon" ("micro trade show") was held on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Fémis film school in the 18th district in Paris between 10 AM and 10 PM.
The AFC Micro Salon has been supported by the CNC (National Cinema Center) and the Fémis since its inception. We wish to thank the school’s director, Marc Nicolas, and his team for welcoming us so faithfully in this cinema landmark in the middle of Paris, on the site of the historic Francoeur sound stages.
This year Veronique Cayla, general director of the CNC, and Thierry Frémaux, General Delegate of the Cannes Film Festival, honored us with their presence.

Remember 50 years ago... On July 31, 1964 Ranger 7 took the first pictures at close range of the Moon. These pictures were made by Angenieux 25mm f : 0.95 M1 lenses.
The Ranger program was a series of nine unmanned space missions by the United States in the 1960s, between 1961 and 1965, whose objective was to obtain the first close-up images of the surface of the Moon : large-scale topographic information needed for the Surveyor and Apollo projects.

Le festival Chefs Op’ en Lumière, organisé par l’association La Bobine et dont la 7^e édition se tiendra du 27 janvier au 2 février 2025 à Chalon-sur-Saône, est dédié avant tout aux directeurs de la photographie, artisans de l’image et de la lumière sur grand écran. Cet événement se veut un mélange de pratiques, de regards et de générations. Les invités d’honneur seront cette année Paul Guilhaume, AFC, Alexandre Astier et Momoko Seto. À noter que Rémy Chevrin, AFC, présidera le jury, dont fera partie Sarah Blum, AFC, et huit autres membres de l’AFC seront présents à diverses occasions.

This is the continuation of the daily photo journal that Gilles Porte, AFC, has been keeping while shooting Safy Nebbou’s film The Consolations of the Forest in Siberia. Gilles has been asking other members of the team to give him one of the two photos sent to us every day, and writes the legends himself.
